Earlier this month, I explored methods of replacing rectangles with strips of fabric, making a quilt block a little more lively and interesting.
Yesterday, I decided to take a relatively simple block and replace some of its patches with strips of fabric.
In this week’s block, you’ll see how it worked.
It was much easier than I thought. I had given up creating the pattern in my software – the math just wasn’t working out right.
But when I measured the rectangle I wanted to replace and just started cutting and sewing strips, somehow the math problems evaporated!
I like it when that happens.
