<p>Earlier this month, I explored methods of replacing rectangles with strips of fabric, making a quilt block a little more lively and interesting.</p>
<p>Yesterday, I decided to take a relatively simple block and replace some of its patches with strips of fabric.</p>
<p>In this week&#8217;s block, you&#8217;ll see how it worked.</p>
<p>It was much easier than I thought. I had given up creating the pattern in my software &#8211; the math just wasn&#8217;t working out right.</p>
<p>But when I measured the rectangle I wanted to replace and just started cutting and sewing strips, somehow the math problems evaporated!</p>
<p>I like it when that happens.</p>
