Pineapple Plant Quilt Block
This Pineapple Plant quilt block is pretty easy to sew together. It reminds me of a log cabin block because you start with a square patch and then add other patches around the outside.
In this block, the square patch is in the upper left corner instead of the center, and then you add patches along the two sides of the block.
Years ago, I did a log cabin quilt where you just sewed the existing block onto a strip and then cut the strip to the size you needed.
Like so many other things, it sounded like a great idea at the time. However, when I finished the blocks, they were all stretched and weird shaped.
After that experience, I always cut my logs before I add them to the block.
